A new poll from the Pew Research Center covering how people feel about various political terms shows that while little has changed over the past year and a half, many people may still be surprised to see how Americans feel about terms like "capitalism" and "socialism." Perhaps the most surprising finding is that for the first time, young people are choosing socialism over capitalism. More here:
You know, it would be nice if these pollsters would actually know the meaning of their terms and then use proper ones before being let loose on the public at large. Clearly, that polling firm, as well as yourself, have no clue what the real definition of "socialism" is. Get a dictionary and learn something. It may surprise you what you learn. No, socialism is not everything you and your right wing friends don't like.

we know what socialism is, communism lite or communism with a phoney happy face, either way a perverse, collectivist, statist system no one in their right mind would ever want to live under; and don't give me the crap about how socialism gave this or that program, stealing my own money and then spending it on something I may or may not use isn't giving me anything, but I guess in the lunatic world of the socialist I should lick the boots of the great leaders because they know so much better how to run our lives
ReplyDeleteWhen you take into account the socialist agenda pushed on most campuses and the media obsession with reporting as fact the anti-industry scams like AGW, I'm not surprised one iota.
ReplyDeleteInfluencing the minds of children has always been tactic #1 for socialists.
No properly educated and mature adult would give them the time of day, unfortunately proper education is hard to come by now that governments and unions are so involved in education.
Pity McCarthy got shafted, he was right all along and now they are mostly communists in Washington.
